Pinterest = the new (and much lighter) oversized wedding binder I can see an end to the mammoth sized Martha Stewart wedding binders that hold all the ideas for your dream wedding in the near future. Now you can just create a board for each subject and keep it all in order online. Paperless and clutter-less! I would have LOVED Pinterest when Will and I were getting married to show mom all the flowers, cakes and favors I liked without hauling that big ol' book everywhere. However, that giant cluttery binder must have had some sentimental value to me because I STILL HAVE IT! haha (that's it in the photo above). What a fun and stressful time those planning months were. I promise it is all worth it in the end! Seeing your cake that looks exactly like the picture you had stuffed in that binder, or the flowers that are even prettier than the bouquet you hoped for wipes all memories of back aches and headaches away instantly.
Even if you aren't getting married, you can still Pinterest to organize your life on little boards or just play around and get ideas. Some boards I have on my page are recipes I want to try (mostly chocolate), a style board for inspiration when I need to recreate something cute to wear out of the same old clothes in my closet, ideas for deam projects around the house, and photo inspiration. I also have a few boards just for our brides of beautiful, cute or fun wedding ideas I see while I'm working (dresses, flowers, cakes, unique wedding ideas, etc). If you want to be my buddy on there and follow my boards I'm listed as Streetlight Republic.
